Kala Point is one of two planned residential communities close to Port Townsend in Jefferson County. Most of the properties are single family residences, however there are condominium units and time-share condos as well. Kala Point is located about four miles south of Port Townsend on Port Townsend Bay. It faces to the East.

the 2nd planned community, Cape George, there are many community amenities
including a clubhouse, a seasonal swimming pool, tennis courts and a beach
with a boat launch.
This gated entrance to the community is closed and accessible by key card
during the evening and nighttime hours. It is also closed on weekends.
